The Talent Management and Development Manager at Safal Group is responsible for leading organisational development planning by aligning training and talent strategies with business objectives. The role involves partnering with management to identify capability gaps, overseeing the design and delivery of training programmes, and driving a strong learning culture through modern techniques and digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development
- Lead organisational development planning by aligning training and talent strategies with business objectives.
- Partner with management to identify capability gaps and translate them into actionable learning priorities aligned with organizational priorities and competency frameworks.
- Oversee the design and delivery of training programmes, including onboarding and group-led initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing training effectiveness, leveraging feedback, and introducing innovative learning methodologies.
- Develop and maintain strategic tools such as the Training Matrix, annual Training Calendar, and Skills Matrix.
- Manage the Learning & Development budget, ensuring cost efficiency and accurate reporting to the Head of HR.
- Promote a strong learning culture through modern techniques, digital solutions, and robust assessment practices.
- Implement development infrastructure, including career paths, competency frameworks, curricula design, and critical learning interventions.
- Track and report learning metrics to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
Talent Management Deliverables
- Execute business unit-specific talent management strategies aligned with Group guidelines.
- Facilitate talent review sessions to identify and develop high-potential employees.
- Support the implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and monitor progress.
- Maintain succession plans for critical roles.
- Coordinate Graduate Trainee programs and early/mid-career initiatives to build a talent pipeline.
- Act as the BU liaison for Group talent initiatives.
Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and Group governance requirements in Talent Management and L&D.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for audits.
- Drive digital adoption by maximising the use of existing systems like Sage 300.
Project and Stakeholder Management
- Scope, plan, and monitor development projects for training initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships with line management and external learning providers.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, or a related field.
- Professional registration: IHRM/CHRP is mandatory.
- Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., CIPD, ATD) is an added advantage.
- Communication/Project Management qualification is a plus.
Experience
- General work experience: At least 7 to 10 years’ experience as a Trainer/Facilitator.
- Specific experience: 7 or more years’ Talent Management and Learning & Development experience at a Supervisory Level.
- Industry: Experience in the Manufacturing industry is required.
Skills and Competencies
- Development and Design of outcomes-based training material.
- Knowledge of Learner Management Systems (LMS) and E-learning.
- Experience with Sage 300 system.
- Strong writing and coaching skills.
- Ability to implement competency models and change management.
