Role Purpose
The HR Operations Specialist for Knowledge & Data Management is responsible for overseeing the HR Knowledge base and ensuring data quality across Human Resources operations at East African Breweries Limited (EABL). This role ensures that all HR policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and FAQ templates are accurate, current, and easily accessible. Additionally, the specialist drives the adoption of manager and employee self-service tools and maintains the integrity of organizational data within core HR systems.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge Base Management: Own and maintain the HR Knowledge base for EABL, ensuring all policies, SOPs, and FAQ templates are accurate, up-to-date, and readily available to staff.
Portal & Repository Structure: Develop and maintain structures for employee information on the HR portal and shared repositories to drive self-service usage and ensure consistent application of HR processes.
Data Quality Assurance: Perform regular HR data quality audits in core HR systems. Resolve discrepancies with process owners to maintain the integrity of employee and organizational data.
Reporting & Insights: Generate standard HR operations reports (e.g., using Power BI) to monitor key performance indicators such as volume, SLA compliance, and error rates, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
HRIS Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the SME for HRIS systems. Collaborate with the IT department to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource Management or a related field (BA/BSc/HND).
Certification: Professional membership in recognized bodies such as IHRM or CIPD.
Work Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a similar HR operations, data management, or HRIS-focused role.
Systems Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based HR Information Systems.
Data & Analytics: Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into meaningful, actionable insights.
Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve data and system-related queries.
Relationship Building: Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external partners and collaborators from various cultural backgrounds.
