Equity Bank Limited is a financial services institution licensed under the Kenya Banking Act, offering retail banking, microfinance, and related services. The Bank is seeking a Senior Officer Governance to be based at its registered office in Nairobi. The Senior Officer Governance role involves monitoring the legal and regulatory landscape to ensure organizational compliance. The position is central to maintaining corporate records, supporting board functions, and ensuring that all statutory obligations are met within the financial services framework. \n\n### Key Deliverables\n- Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environment in the running of companies and keeping the Management up to date on all developments.\n- Ensure records of Minutes and Resolutions are well kept and organized.\n- Support in arranging board meetings and annual general meetings (AGMs).\n- Draft agendas and timetables for board and annual general meetings.\n- Prepare the Annual Board Calendar, Workplan, and Training Plan.\n- Ensure all statutory declarations are duly filed and the register of directors and secretary is kept up to date.\n- Support the Company Secretary in ensuring the timely dissemination of Board papers.\n\n### Qualifications\n- A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, or Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM).\n- A professional certification in company secretarial services (Certified Secretary).\n- In-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment and key regulatory guidelines affecting the financial services industry.\n\n### Experience\n- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Banking, Insurance, or Fintech.\n- Broad range of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on corporate governance, company secretarial duties, and regulatory reporting & compliance.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the Equity Bank recruitment portal by visiting the application link provided below.
