Taita Taveta University (TTU), a dynamic public university specializing in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering, is looking to recruit a Senior Internal Audit Assistant I. This is a permanent and pensionable position that supports the university's internal audit function through rigorous testing, compliance verification, and financial record review.
Responsibilities
Conducting audit tests and procedures as directed.
Reviewing financial records and internal control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assisting in the preparation of audit reports and communicating findings.
Verifying the accuracy of institutional assets and liabilities.
Ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and relevant laws.
Requirements
Option 1:
Must possess a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting/Finance Option or its equivalent.
Must possess CPA Part 1 or its equivalent.
Three (3) years’ experience as Senior Internal Audit Assistant II or a comparable position.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Must have computer literacy in relevant areas.
OR Option 2:
Must possess CPA (K) or its equivalent.
Five (5) years’ experience as Senior Internal Audit Assistant II or a comparable position.
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Must have computer literacy in relevant areas.
Exemplary work performance.
Terms of Service
The position is on Permanent and Pensionable Terms.
The successful candidate will be entitled to applicable allowances as approved by the University Council.
