The Compliance & Standards Specialist is responsible for driving ISO standards certification and compliance across Securex's regional streams, including Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The role involves ensuring strict regulatory adherence and supporting the company's market positioning through compliance excellence and professional digital presence.
Mission
ISO Driving Force: Drive ISO standards certification and compliance across regional operations (Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania).
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant legal and industry-specific regulations.
Brand Support: Support the company's niche positioning against competitors through professional representation on platforms like LinkedIn.
Key Responsibilities
Execute ISO auditing fundamentals, specifically focusing on ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
Implement and continuously monitor organizational compliance frameworks.
Conduct regular regulatory compliance assessments and detailed gap analyses.
Manage quality management systems across multiple countries within East Africa.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to maintain high standards of operational compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: A degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in compliance and quality management.
Certifications: ISO basic auditing certification (ISO 27001 or ISO 9001).
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of East African security regulations.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to implement compliance monitoring frameworks and conduct gap analyses.
