MSVL Group is a leading provider of recruitment, HR consulting, and corporate training services. We are seeking a Sales Operations Head for our bakery division. This role is central to leading distribution operations, optimizing delivery routes, and managing large field teams to ensure the on-time performance and freshness of products. The successful candidate will oversee approximately 100 personnel, driving accountability, discipline, and operational excellence within the distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Optimization: Plan and optimize daily/weekly delivery routes to maximize coverage, freshness, and on-time performance.
- Performance Management: Monitor and manage field KPIs including on-time delivery, route adherence, stock reconciliation, and returns.
- Dynamic Scheduling: Dynamically re-route teams based on demand shifts, traffic, vehicle issues, or stock availability.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot field challenges including breakdowns, customer escalations, route conflicts, and stock variances.
- Departmental Coordination: Coordinate with production, warehousing, and distribution to align loading schedules and dispatch plans.
- Systems Implementation: Implement and improve route optimization systems, GPS/telematics tracking, and reporting dashboards.
- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and performance-manage route supervisors and team leaders; conduct regular field audits.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict safety, hygiene, and food-safety (FSSC/ISO) compliance during deliveries.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of total professional experience.
- 4-5 years specifically in a sales-operations or distribution leadership role within the bakery, FMCG, beverages, cold-chain, or QSR distribution sectors.
- Proven experience managing large field distribution teams of approximately 100 personnel.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive discipline, motivation, and accountability.
- Proficiency in route planning tools, GPS/telematics systems, Excel, and BI dashboards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
