Assistant Processing Manager

The Assistant Processing Manager will be responsible for implementing process solutions to enhance operational efficiency and ensuring all workflows comply with regulatory requirements. This role involves overseeing the entire fish processing lifecycle from intake to shipping, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene, and leading a high-performing team.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n\n- Implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency.\n- Implement process workflows and design in compliance with regulatory requirements.\n- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.\n- Planning and organizing production schedules.\n- Oversee scaling, slicing, gutting, cleaning, sorting, precooling, and output processes.\n- Operate and maintain processing equipment and machinery.\n- Pack and label processed fish for shipping.\n- Oversee Ice Plant activities.\n\n\n- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (OSH).\n- Inspect fish for quality and remove defects.\n- Determine quality control standards during input and output.\n- Ensure quality and hygiene standards are maintained.\n- Manage health, safety, and environmental compliance and improvements.\n\n\n- Supervise the work of junior staff.\n- Organize training sessions and upskilling programs.\n- Liaise with Commercial operations on demand and supply of processed products.\n- Collaborate with the site leadership team to deliver the site's balanced business plan.\n\n\n- Support departmental budget formulation aligned with company objectives.\n- Meet daily processing targets.\n- Assess processing and resource requirements.\n\n\n- Prepare, analyze, and submit accurate and timely operational reports for tracking and decision-making.\n\n### Requirements\n- A bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or Food Technology.\n- A master’s degree, professional certification, or OSH training is an added advantage.\n- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a food processing/production facility.\n- Ability to support and manage a high-performing processing team.\n- Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n- Ability to manage operational issues and implement business solutions effectively.\n- Ability to manage large-scale projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.\n- Expertise in interpreting and implementing construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online via the Adept Systems application portal at: .
