CDL Human Resource is seeking a Sales Executive (Transport-Cargo) to drive business growth within the transport and logistics sector. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and securing contracts to enhance company revenue. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the local cargo and trucking industry and possess a results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities in the transport and logistics sector.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver professional business proposals, presentations, and tenders.
Collaborate closely with operations and finance teams to ensure client satisfaction and service efficiency.
Conduct market research to stay updated on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
Achieve established sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development within the transportation and logistics industry (Local Transport within Kenya).
Mandatory prior experience in the Logistics industry working specifically with Cargo and Trucks.
Proven track record of industry connections with the ability to generate leads and close significant deals.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation skills and results-driven mindset.
Possession of an existing network of clients is considered an added advantage.
