British American Tobacco (BAT) is seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of Intern/Apprentice/Student Worker. This role is designed to support the Trade Marketing & Distribution (TMD) team in executing strategic plans that drive volume and brand value within assigned territories. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in market distribution, retailer relationship management, and supply chain monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
TMD Plan Support: Assist in the implementation of the Trade Marketing & Distribution plan to achieve volume, value share, and numeric and weighted distribution targets for Drive Brands.
Territory Management: Assist in achieving trade coverage, visit frequency, and outlet visit plans to maximise route effectiveness and efficiency across assigned territories.
Relationship Management: Help build and sustain close working relationships with distributors, trade partners, and retailers to earn high levels of trade support, loyalty, and market insight.
Brand Availability: Support delivery of territory volume and distribution objectives by trade channel and outlet type, ensuring brand availability is maximised in line with market strategy.
Stock Management: Contribute to optimal stock management by monitoring levels, product quality, and freshness, and reporting on supply chain issues to minimise Out of Stock occurrences.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A degree in Commerce or a related field, awarded within the last 1 year (Recent graduate).
Licensing: Must possess a valid Driving Licence.
Mobility: Must be willing to be mobile and complete the internship in any part of Kenya where the business requirement lies.
