The Sales Executive role focuses on executing marketing strategies, driving sales, and enhancing the brand presence of a Publishing Firm within the Mombasa and Nakuru regions. This position requires extensive field activity focused on the educational sector and retail book outlets.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The purpose of the Sales Executive is to execute the marketing strategies, drive sales, and enhance the company’s brand presence.
Key Duties:
Visit schools regularly to pitch the company’s books to teachers and school administrations.
Engage bookshops to stock and prominently display book titles.
Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, teachers, and bookshops.
Organise and participate in school events, book fairs, and other industry forums (such as KPA/KESSHA/KEPSHA).
Collect feedback from the field and share insights internally to improve products and marketing approaches.
Achieve set termly and annual sales targets.
Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales or fieldwork. Experience in the publishing sector is a significant advantage.
Education: Diploma or Degree qualification in Sales, Marketing, Education, Business, or a related field (BA/BSc/HND, Diploma accepted).
Language Proficiency: Strong command of English and Kiswahili.
Travel: Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned Mombasa and Nakuru regions.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Attributes: Must be confident, presentable, and self-driven.
