Role Overview
The National Youth Service (NYS) is recruiting 70 Drivers at the rank of Private. This is a permanent and pensionable position within the service, aimed at individuals who have completed NYS paramilitary training. The National Youth Service (NYS) is a premier agency through which the Government executes a comprehensive youth empowerment master plan.
Terms of Service
Salary and Allowances: As per the existing NYS salary scale.
Medical Cover: Provided under the SHA Scheme of Civil Servants.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for these positions, applicants must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) D+ (plus) or its approved equivalent.
Must have successfully undergone the initial NYS Paramilitary Training.
Be in possession of a National Trade Test, Craft, or Diploma Certificate in Driving.
Must have no criminal record.
Senior Service Man/Woman (I and II) certificate required for the General Duty Cadre.
