The County Government of Lamu is seeking a Plumbing Instructor III to provide technical instruction and vocational training to students. This role is pivotal in developing the practical skills of learners in the plumbing trade, ensuring they meet the required industry standards through both theoretical teaching and hands-on workshop demonstrations.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver theoretical and practical lessons in plumbing.
Prepare and maintain instructional materials and lesson plans.
Conduct student assessments and practical examinations to monitor progress.
Manage workshop activities and ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students for career development.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the training environment.
Requirements
Must be a Kenyan Citizen (National Identity Card/ Passport).
Hold the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
Have a Diploma in Plumbing or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Have acquired a Training of Trainers (ToT) certificate course from a recognized institution.
Have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
