The County Government of Lamu is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Electrical Instructor III. This role is centered on providing technical and vocational training to students, focusing on electrical engineering and related practical skills. The instructor will be responsible for preparing students for the workforce by delivering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on workshop experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver comprehensive technical instruction in electrical engineering and associated subjects.
Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the curriculum.
Oversee practical workshop sessions, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
Assess student progress through regular evaluations, examinations, and practical assessments.
Provide mentorship and guidance to students to foster technical skill acquisition and career development.
Manage and maintain workshop equipment, tools, and training facilities to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must be a Kenyan Citizen (possess a National Identity Card or Passport).
Must hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
Must have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Must have successfully completed a Training of Trainers (ToT) certificate course from a recognized institution.
Must possess a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Important Information
Applicants with academic qualifications from foreign universities must attach proof of accreditation from the Commission for University Education (CUE).
