The Building and Construction Instructor II is responsible for providing technical training and instruction to students in the building and construction field. The role involves guiding students through both theoretical and practical components of construction to prepare them for professional technical careers within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver technical instruction and training in building and construction subjects.
Prepare and implement lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the curriculum.
Conduct practical demonstrations of construction techniques, safety standards, and tool usage.
Evaluate and monitor student performance through assessments, exams, and practical tasks.
Manage workshop operations, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and safety protocols are followed.
Provide career guidance and mentorship to students.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, the ideal candidate must:
Be a Kenyan Citizen (National Identity Card/ Passport).
Be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
Have a Diploma in Building and Construction or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Have acquired a Training of Trainers (ToT) certificate course from a recognized institution.
Have a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
