The Operations Manager role is within the Microfinance industry, located along Ngong Road, Nairobi. The remuneration offered is 70,000 KES Gross.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, motivate, and lead staff to achieve set targets and performance objectives.
- Oversee and optimize the effective utilization of all company resources.
- Ensure customers are served efficiently and within agreed service timelines.
- Lead the development and implementation of company strategy and operational plans.
- Ensure the company maintains a healthy, high-quality loan portfolio.
- Build, manage, and grow a personal loan portfolio.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws.
- Drive the company toward sustained profitability and operational excellence.
- Prepare management reports and provide regular updates to the Board of Directors.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the specified skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in lending and debt recovery.
- At least five (5) years’ experience leading or managing a credit department.
- High levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation related to recoveries.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
