The role of Assistant Relationship Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking at DIB Bank Kenya Limited (DIBBKE) is centered on driving sales and managing client relationships within the Corporate and Commercial Business segment. DIB Bank Kenya Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank PJSC (AE), combines traditional Shariah values with modern banking technology and innovation. The job holder is expected to develop sales plans in line with overall Corporate and Commercial Business objectives and ensure that product revenue and profitability targets are achieved or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that product revenue and profitability targets are achieved / exceeded by understanding the customer’s business and anticipating the requirements through a consultative selling process.
- Matching the customer’s needs with product capabilities through presentation of tailored demonstrations and proposals.
- Negotiating/renegotiating terms and conditions with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals to other Banking lines through developing a good understanding of client needs.
- Providing structured solutions to meet the specific cash management requirements of customers and prospects.
- Undertaking a disciplined product-oriented sales management process while monitoring, tracking, and reporting on sales activity on a periodic basis and ensuring action is taken to meet sales targets.
- Assisting the product management and development in strategic product rollouts.
- Support customers’ needs, trends, and product/market intelligence for new product developments/enhancements, strengthening the competitive position.
- Facilitate customer service issues and ensure a high level of post-sales service is always made available to the clients.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the team leader from time to time.
Job Specification and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field from a recognized university (BA/BSc/HND qualification).
- Experience: Minimum of Five (5) Years Banking experience, with at least 3 years specifically in business development for the Corporate/Commercial segment.

- In depth knowledge of commercial banking products.
- Added Advantage: Knowledge of Sharia Foundations and principles of Islamic finance.
