The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale field data collection activities in Mombasa County. This crucial role ensures the smooth daily deployment of teams, efficient logistics coordination, target achievement, and the resolution of all field operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily deployment of data collection teams (DCOs + Team Leaders).
- Manage daily briefings and zone assignment communication to all field staff.
- Ensure the 2,400 daily record collection target is achieved across all teams.
- Supervise Zone Supervisors and ensure effective team supervision.
- Coordinate vehicle logistics (pickup, SUV, motorbikes) for equipment and personnel transport.
- Resolve field operational issues including access challenges, equipment failures, and personnel matters.
- Track and report daily progress against zone completion targets.
- Manage field allowances distribution and expense tracking.
- Ensure staff safety and adherence to field protocols.
- Coordinate with the Technical Lead on data quality issues requiring field revisits.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field operations management.
- At least 2 years of experience managing large field teams (20+ personnel).
- Experience in survey, enumeration, or data collection projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mombasa County geography and administrative structure.
