The Nursing Trainer at Kisiwa Technical Institute is responsible for delivering technical nursing education and overseeing the academic development of students. This role involves both classroom instruction and field supervision to prepare students for professional practice in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Training: Conduct training sessions on technical nursing subjects to ensure students gain necessary knowledge and skills.
Student Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and grading assessments.
Attachment Supervision: Supervise students during their Industrial Attachment to ensure they gain practical, hands-on experience.
Research: Undertake research in the respective training area to keep pedagogical approaches and curriculum content current.
Curriculum Design: Design curriculum and training materials tailored to the specific needs and learning objectives of the nursing program.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Qualifications: Must hold a Diploma in Community Nursing or a Degree in Nursing.
Professional Certification: Must have a Certificate in pedagogy.
Regulatory Compliance: Must be registered with TVETA (Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority).
Professional Registration: Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
