The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the 24/7 availability and performance of our network infrastructure. This role involves continuous monitoring, incident response, escalation management, and technical support to maintain critical business operations and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
Ensure 24/7 availability and performance of network infrastructure.
Conduct continuous monitoring, incident response, and escalation management.
Provide technical support and maintain high standards for Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Networking Knowledge: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, and QoS.
Network Equipment: Hands-on experience with vendors such as Cisco, Ruckus, Aruba/HP, and Meraki.
Security: Proficiency with firewalls including Cisco ASA, Fortinet, and WatchGuard.
Monitoring Tools: Experience with SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or Cosmos.
Analysis Tools: Proficiency in packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump.
Infrastructure Knowledge: Strong knowledge of VPN, SD-WAN, load balancers, wired (ethernet & fiber), and wireless networking.
Preferred: Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality technology is an added advantage.
