Master Power Systems Limited (MPSL) is a leading engineering and contracting company specializing in electrical works. We are seeking a Mechanical Procurement Engineer to join our team in Nairobi. The Mechanical Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring mechanical equipment, materials, and services required for projects and operations.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n* Review and interpret mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and material requisitions.\n* Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technical capability, cost, quality, and delivery performance.\n* Prepare and issue RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and analyze vendor proposals.\n* Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations in coordination with engineering and project teams.\n* Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.\n* Ensure procured items comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\n* Coordinate with vendors for technical clarifications, inspections, and documentation.\n* Monitor order progress and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.\n* Resolve procurement-related issues such as delays, non-conformance, and quality concerns.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.\n* 3–7 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in mechanical and HVAC projects.\n* Strong understanding of mechanical & HVAC systems, materials, and equipment.\n* Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.\n* Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the LinkedIn application portal by visiting the following link:
