This Marketing Manager role is crucial for Jotun in Kenya, focusing on developing and implementing key marketing initiatives, campaigns, and product strategies based on deep market analysis and customer insights.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and implement campaigns, product launches, innovations, or similar based on market analysis, competitor monitoring, and customer insight within Kenya.
- Generate quality marketing deliverables (insight, business case, key selling arguments, and communication package).
- Develop and maintain local assortment and identify market needs, closely coordinate with different functions to increase market shares and profitability.
- Coordinate and assist in devising the Marketing strategies, plan, budget, etc., in order to achieve the company’s objectives and targets.
- Responsible for new product launches and implementations by working closely with local and regional marketing teams in order to drive the success of new innovations.
- Develop and implement proper pricing and product management strategies by analyzing market information and working closely with the Sales team in order to increase sales and market share in Kenya.
- Be able to match Jotun's product portfolio to our target customers, identify the gaps, and decide on corrective action or products needed, and matching these needs with correct innovations.
- Ensure the necessary marketing vehicles (products, systems, and marketing material) are in place on time.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing/ commerce or any other related field. (MBA/ master's degree in marketing is preferred)
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a Marketing role. (Experience in FMCG sector is an added advantage)
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in consumer marketing and retail dynamics in Kenya.
- Strong business acumen to drive growth and profitability.
- CIM Membership is desired.
- Must currently be residing and legally authorized to work in Kenya.
