Role Overview
Jotun is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager based in Nairobi, Kenya, to drive marketing performance, manage product portfolio, and execute key strategic initiatives. The role involves leveraging market analysis, competitor monitoring, and customer insight to initiate campaigns, product launches, and innovations, ultimately aiming to increase market share and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and implement campaigns, product launches, innovations, or similar based on market analysis, competitor monitoring, and customer insight within Kenya.
- Generate quality marketing deliverables, including insight reports, business cases, key selling arguments, and comprehensive communication packages.
- Develop and maintain local assortment and identify specific market needs, coordinating closely with different functions to maximize market shares and profitability.
- Coordinate and assist in devising the overall Marketing strategies, plan, and budget required to achieve the company’s objectives and targets.
- Be responsible for new product launches and implementations by collaborating closely with local and regional marketing teams to drive the success of new innovations.
- Develop and implement proper pricing and product management strategies by analyzing market information and working closely with the Sales team to increase sales and market share in Kenya.
- Be able to match Jotun's product portfolio to target customers, identify any market gaps, and decide on corrective actions or necessary products, ensuring these needs are matched with correct innovations.
- Ensure that necessary marketing vehicles (products, systems, and marketing material) are readily available and in place on time.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce, or any other related field.
- An MBA or master's degree in marketing is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a Marketing role.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is considered an added advantage.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in consumer marketing and retail dynamics specific to Kenya.
- Must possess strong business acumen to effectively drive growth and profitability.
- CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Membership is desired.
- Must currently be residing and legally authorized to work in Kenya.
