Job Description
AGL (Africa Global Logistics), the reference multimodal logistics operator in Africa and part of the MSC family, is seeking a Manifest/Documentation Clerk in Mombasa. In this role, you will be responsible for managing bills of lading, lodging manifests within key logistics databases, and coordinating with both operations and customer care teams to ensure timely and accurate billing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Receive bills of lading from the customer care team.
Check and confirm manifests with ICMS.
Lodge documents in ICMS and print check reports.
Prepare attached sheets for the consignments and relay them to the operations team to ensure charges are handled correctly and timely.
Put requests for calls and slot files in IPAKI in a timely manner.
Upload consignments into IPAKI with high accuracy to ensure proper billing.
Ensure disbursements and any other necessary information are advised in IPAKI following due process to allow for complete and proper billing when clients approach for charges.
Assist with queries from both internal and external clients regarding manifests.
Prepare daily statistics reports and send them to concerned parties.
Prepare daily pre-nomination reports and send them to concerned parties.
Prepare weekly car carrier reports and advise all concerned parties.
File documents once manifest processes are complete and transfer physical files to the archive.
Execute any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Clearing and Forwarding, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in using KWATOS/ICMS systems is mandatory.
