MSVL Group is seeking a Lead QA/QC for the Animal Feeds & Veterinary Sector. This is a senior role responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance and quality control framework within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the development and management of quality systems, ensure regulatory compliance with Kenyan authorities, and coordinate with production and procurement teams to maintain high product standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance: Develop and manage QA/QC systems, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. Ensure strict adherence to KEBS and other Kenyan regulatory requirements. Oversee comprehensive product testing, certification processes, and quality control of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
Audits & Quality Improvement: Lead internal and external audits. Manage corrective actions, investigate quality deviations, and address customer complaints. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise the QA/QC team. Work closely with production and procurement departments to maintain consistent quality standards across the supply chain and ensure regulatory compliance at all stages.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Nutrition, Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience: 5-8 years of QA/QC experience specifically within manufacturing, food, animal feed, veterinary, or FMCG industries.
Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience handling KEBS compliance, product certification, inspections, and audits. Strong knowledge of Kenyan regulatory standards and quality systems is essential.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and leading QA/QC teams.
Certifications: Professional certifications in ISO, HACCP, GMP, or Quality Management Systems are highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
