About the Role
Acumen Capital Partner (ACP) is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to support the Managing Partners and the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in building and maintaining strong relationships with Limited Partners (LPs). This role is critical in driving fundraising efforts and ensuring high-quality communication with institutional investors, including Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), family offices, foundations, and pension funds.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations: Support the leadership team in identifying and cultivating relationships with potential and existing LPs.
Market Analysis: Analyze global and regional market trends to stay ahead of LP expectations and requirements.
Fundraising Support: Coordinate with Managing Partners and the ACP board on fundraising strategies for various funds.
Event Management: Organize roadshows and investor outreach events.
Communication Materials: Create and maintain standardized templates for LP reports and high-impact pitch decks.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mass Communication, or a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 4+ years of experience in investor relations, business development, finance, or a related professional field.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a professional polish and client-service mindset.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite, along with communication applications such as Zoom.
Soft Skills: Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Ethics: Ability to maintain discretion, professional judgment, and confidentiality at all times.
Alignment: Self-reflective and strongly aligned with ACP values.
Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in Kenya, Egypt, or the UK.
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and will vary based on experience and the candidate's base location.
