Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Human Resources Manager based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Human Resources Manager will plan, lead, and coordinate HR strategies, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor regulations. The role requires overseeing HR policies and procedures, managing employee training and development programs, and ensuring alignment with company goals. Additionally, the HR Manager will be responsible for fostering a positive work culture and supporting organizational growth through effective human resource practices.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy: Plan, lead, and coordinate HR strategies aligned with company goals.
Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, grievances, and performance management systems.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Kenyan labor laws and maintain updated HR policies and procedures.
Training & Development: Design and manage training programs to improve employee skills and performance.
Culture Management: Foster a positive work environment and lead change management initiatives.
Systems Administration: Manage HR software and systems effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Certification: Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD, IHRM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Technology: Proficiency with HR software and systems.
