Job Description
Airflo is a leading logistics company in perishables that specializes in providing world-class fresh logistics solutions for fresh cut flowers, herbs, cuttings, produce and fruits moving through key international trade lanes. As a Human Resources Generalist based in Nairobi, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including performance management, employee relations, and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
Responsibilities
Performance Management
Support implementation of performance appraisal processes and track employee development plans.
Advise managers on performance issues and support monitoring through training and coaching.
Schedule management conferences, hear and resolve grievances, and counsel employees/supervisors.
Maintain staff results by monitoring and appraising performance.
Ensure confirmation evaluations are executed by line managers based on 30-60-90-day plans.
Employee Relations
Address employee concerns and grievances effectively.
Support disciplinary processes including warnings, suspensions, and terminations.
Promote a positive workplace culture and maintain harmonious working relationships.
HR Administration
Manage records on performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Track temporary staff engagement in liaison with the operations manager.
Administer staff information through the HR Information System (HRIS).
Industrial Relations & Compliance
Offer advice to management on HR issues to enable informed decision-making.
Interpret and enforce compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Facilitate the formulation and review of HR policies in line with Kenyan labour laws.
Maintain industrial relations by managing grievances and collaborating with stakeholders like FKE and the Labour Office.
Training & Development
Assess training needs with Line Managers and coordinate staff training programs.
Recommend development initiatives aimed at building staff capacity.
Manage onboarding for interns and new employees.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
