Job Description
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) is the regulatory agency for the ICT industry in Kenya with responsibilities in telecommunications, cyber security, e-commerce, broadcasting, multimedia, and postal/courier services. The Authority is also responsible for managing the country’s numbering and frequency spectrum resources, managing and administering the Universal Service Fund (USF), and safeguarding the interests of users of ICT services. This is a student attachment/internship opportunity within the Human Resources and Administration department intended for ongoing students to gain practical experience in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
While specific duties are tailored to the department's needs, interns generally:
Support the Human Resources team with administrative tasks and record-keeping.
Assist in the coordination of departmental activities and office management.
Participate in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Engage in learning the regulatory framework of the ICT sector in Kenya.
Requirements and Eligibility Criteria
Must be an ongoing student in a recognized university.
Areas of study should align with Human Resources or Business Administration.
Demonstrate a keen interest in gaining practical experience in a regulatory environment.
Mandatory: Submission of a letter from the University/College recommending the applicant for attachment.
Provision for Persons Living With Disability (PWD): Applicants who are PWDs should specify the type of disability and attach a copy of their valid PWD membership card.
