Job Role Overview
This position is responsible for providing administrative and transport logistics services to the Human Resource and Administration department for the seamless operations of the Commission. The role involves managing employee records, supporting recruitment, and coordinating official transport services.
Key Responsibilities
Personnel Record Management: Update the human resource employees’ database and leave roster. Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
Logistics Coordination: Manage transport logistics functions, including scheduling official transport and liaising with service providers for motor vehicle maintenance and servicing in line with transport policy.
Recruitment Support: Gather applicant background information, assist in interview processes, follow up with successful candidates, open new employee files, and assist in orienting new employees to the organization.
Internal Communication: Disseminate human resource information internally and handle the receiving, sorting, filing, and dispatching of mail.
Data Management: Document data on human resource metrics and file monthly vehicle returns, including signing work tickets where applicable.
Asset Management: Maintain updated asset records and equipment inventory.
Supervision: Supervise drivers in line with the Commission’s transport policy.
Performance: Develop individual work plans, monitor own performance, and seek requisite support to ensure delivery of agreed targets.
Job Requirements
Education: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade C (Plain) or above.
Qualifications: Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Professional Membership: Valid membership to the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Experience: At least two (2) years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.
