Role Overview
Coveted HR is a professional organization focusing on placing a wide range of both professional and non-professional workers in a variety of sectors of the economy. The HR / Accounts Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the human resources department in administrative, recruitment, and compliance functions, while specifically handling payroll-related accounting duties.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Handle the processing and remission of payroll deductions such as NHIF, NSSF, PAYE, HELB, etc.
Records Management: In charge of collecting and filing staff records and maintaining employee records according to policy and legal requirements. Create and maintain a database for obsolete employee files.
Administration: Oversee all general administration matters within the organization.
HR Initiatives & Systems: Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
Recruitment: Actively participate in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the hiring process.
Onboarding & Development: Create and implement effective onboarding plans and assist in developing training and development programs.
Performance Management: Assist in performance management processes and support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
Legal Compliance: Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance and provide counseling on policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Experience: A minimum of two years of HR experience is required.
Technical Skills: Comfortable with technology and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Applications.
Soft Skills: Must be patient and flexible, organized, able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet competing deadlines.
Communication: Very strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships.
