Job Description
As the Head of Human Resource at Mwananchi Credit Limited, you will spearhead and manage all HR functions across the company. The key responsibilities include the development and execution of HR strategies aligned with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations. You will act as a strategic partner to senior management, guiding the organization through change management and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Planning
Collaborate with business leaders to understand organizational objectives and needs.
Align business needs with functional objectives and HR strategy.
Play a critical role in aligning HR programs and initiatives with the overall business strategy.
Develop and implement HR best practices and workforce trends to attract, develop, and retain talent.
HR Policies and Compliance
Develop and implement HR policies that promote fairness, equity, and compliance.
Ensure practices comply with relevant employment laws and labor standards.
Stay updated on labor laws and industry best practices to advise management and employees.
Execute all HR operational tasks throughout the employee life cycle in line with policies.
Performance Management and Reward
Champion organizational design solutions that drive a high-performance culture.
Guide business leads on developing measurable performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement plans.
Employee Relationship
Build strong relationships with business leaders, managers, and employees.
Engage with stakeholders to understand needs, influence decision-making, and provide strategic HR guidance.
Learning and Development
Guide the implementation of staff learning and development programs.
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and identify suitable interventions like coaching and counseling.
Support implementation of career progression guidelines as part of employee development.
Compensation and Benefits
Manage compensation and benefits programs, including recognition and reward systems.
Oversee review and reward cycles, eligibility, and related processes.
Talent Management
Collaborate with leaders to identify talent needs and develop effective management strategies.
Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and employer branding.
Provide guidance on recruitment and selection strategies to maximize workforce potential.
Change Management
Assist in developing change management plans and communication strategies.
Support employees through transitions such as business model changes or new process roll-outs.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Track and analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends that inform decision-making.
Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders.
Objectives and Key Results
Strategic Alignment: Align HR goals with business goals to enhance success.
Compliance: Achieve zero non-compliance in HR audits and update policies to meet labor laws.

L&D Culture: Complete TNA for all departments and support career advancement for 20% of staff.
