The Head of Risk & Compliance Officer at Morsan HR Consulting is responsible for overseeing the risk management and compliance functions of the organization, specifically within the lending and credit sector. The role involves assessing credit risks, evaluating financial stability, and ensuring that all operations adhere to regulatory and internal policy standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the health of the loan portfolio and mitigating financial risks such as default and fraud.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Assessment: Assess loan applications to determine the level of risk involved and analyze client financial statements, cash flows, and repayment capacity.
Credit Decisions: Determine appropriate loan amounts based on risk exposure and provide recommendations to the Credit Committee regarding loan approvals or declines.
Collateral Management: Evaluate and verify collateral/security provided, such as vehicle logbooks or other assets.
Policy Development: Develop and implement risk assessment frameworks and credit policies while conducting branch audits to ensure adherence.
Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor loan performance and repayment trends, identifying early warning signs of default and recommending corrective actions.
Fraud Detection: Detect and investigate fraudulent loan applications or suspicious transactions.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and prepare risk reports for management and board review.
Training & Collaboration: Train staff on risk management and fraud detection measures and work closely with the collections team to manage delinquent accounts.

Portfolio at Risk (PAR) ratio.
Default and recovery rates.
Fraud detection and prevention metrics.
Compliance with risk policies.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in credit analysis or risk management, preferably in microfinance or banking.
Professional certification in Risk Management, CPA, ACCA, or related qualification is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and financial assessment skills.
Proven experience in collateral verification and loan monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to detect fraudulent documentation and suspicious behavior.
