Role Overview
As a Debt Recovery Agent, you will be responsible for managing overdue accounts and ensuring timely repayment through effective communication and negotiation. You will act as a key liaison between the company and our clients, maintaining professionalism and empathy while achieving collection targets.
Key Responsibilities
Make outbound and receive inbound calls regarding overdue payments.
Negotiate realistic repayment plans that benefit both the customer and the company.
Provide accurate details on account status and repayment terms to clients.
Record all interactions, agreements, and follow-ups meticulously in the system.
Escalate complex or non-responsive cases to the Line Manager.
Meet and exceed set targets for collections, call volumes, and Promise-to-Pay (PTP) conversions.
Ensure all recovery activities comply with company policies, financial regulations, and data protection laws.
Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and empathy in all customer interactions.
Collaborate with team members to meet overall organizational goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
A BA/BSc/HND qualification in a relevant field.
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work toward performance-based targets.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
