This role is for an Executive Assistant (EA) providing high-level, strategic support to the Country Director (CD). The successful candidate will manage complex administrative functions, handle strategic communications, and oversee critical projects to ensure the seamless operation and execution of executive initiatives.
International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global team of lawyers, investigators, social workers, community activists, and other professionals. We work to protect the poor from violence through 17 field offices throughout Africa, Latin America, and South and Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the coordination of complex scheduling and travel to ensure timely and effective participation in high-level engagements.
- Determine appropriate communication strategies and advise on messaging that reflects the CD’s voice and maintains organizational integrity.
- Conduct document and task management using advanced technology platforms to support seamless collaboration and execution.
- Oversee cross-functional relationships and sustain a culture of excellence, professionalism, and mission alignment across executive initiatives.
- Evaluate and manage complex, multi-phase projects within the CD’s Office, applying all five areas of project management competency to ensure strategic alignment, timely execution, and sustained impact across global and country initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of experience providing executive-level administrative support in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint preferred; knowledge of Windows 10 is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise executive-level administrative functions, including calendar management, travel coordination, and strategic meeting planning.
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the capacity to advise and represent executive leadership through professional correspondence and stakeholder engagements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and principles, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Advanced technological literacy, including document management systems, task tracking platforms, and virtual collaboration tools.
