Our client, an event management company particularly noted for its full-scale production capabilities, is looking for a results-driven, highly organized professional to drive revenue growth, win new business & bids, manage key accounts, oversee end-to-end event execution from client briefs, and build lasting relationships with clients. In this role, you are trusted with ensuring exceptional service from the initial pitch to the final event wrap-up.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Client Acquisition: Actively identifying and reaching out to potential corporate clients, brands, associations, and event planners who need event management services.
Market Analysis: Monitoring industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging markets to identify new opportunities.
Proposal & Pitch Development: Leading the creation of tailored event concepts, RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and pitch decks. Working with the creative team to build a vision and pitching it directly to decision-makers.
Negotiations: Leading negotiations on pricing, event scope, and contract terms to secure business.
Account Management: Serving as the strategic, high-level consultant for won clients, ensuring their brand goals and event objectives are met.
Retention & Upselling: Turning one-off event clients into recurring annual partners and seeking opportunities to upsell services.
Escalation Management: Acting as the primary point of escalation if a client has concerns regarding budgets, timelines, or creative direction.
Briefing & Execution Coordination: Translating the client's approved vision into actionable briefs for the Event Producers, Operations Team, and Creative Designers.
Strategic Oversight: Staying looped into major planning milestones to ensure execution matches what was pitched to the client.
Client Relations: Attending major events to act as a VIP host for clients, ensuring their satisfaction and experiencing the event's success firsthand.
Financial Optimization: Balancing competitive client pricing with the company's internal profit margins during the bidding phase.
Performance Tracking: Tracking personal sales pipeline, revenue targets, and account growth metrics, and reporting these to senior leadership.
Post-Event Reporting: Meeting with clients post-event to present data (attendance rates, engagement metrics, media impressions) and planting seeds for the next event.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
3+ years of proven success in Business Development and marketing campaigns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
