As a Field Specialist (ESP Technician), you will be performing installation and pulling of Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and associated equipment in offshore and onshore oil and water wells. You may be required to work unsupervised as you troubleshoot and maintain artificial lift systems.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Inspect and assemble all types of ESP submersible equipment and supervise/assist the subsequent installation of tubing and banding of cable.\n- Periodically check system electrical integrity during installation and monitor downhole ESP equipment to maximize well productivity and run life.\n- Calculate required surface voltage, designate proper transformer connections and wire size, and ensure system safety devices are installed and functioning.\n- Diagnose problems, make applicable field repairs to equipment, and recommend appropriate action to the customer.\n- Perform specialized electrical work including basic repair work on Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and troubleshooting downhole pressure systems.\n- Convert switchboard wiring from one type of controller to another and install voltage analyzing equipment.\n- Perform all levels of maintenance, inspection, checks, testing, and troubleshooting on ESP and other artificial lift equipment and commissioning equipment.\n\n### Qualifications and Requirements\n- A Two-year Technical Diploma is required.\n- At least 2 years’ experience specifically in ESP submersible equipment.\n- Proven experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding of Artificial Lift equipment and systems.\n- Knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and automated systems.\n- A powerful customer service-orientation mindset with experience leading customers through tough decisions.\n- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to customers, both internal and external.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Baker Hughes careers portal.
