Environment Officer Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the formulation and implementation of environmental management plans.
• Participate in environmental audits and support the implementation of recommended actions.
• Support the implementation of Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs).
• Maintain a register of compliance with national environmental legislation.
• Monitor and provide updates on new developments in environmental conservation.
• Collect scientific data and prepare technical reports related to environmental conservation.
• Prepare conservation reports for the Environmental Management Agency as required.
• Participate in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies.
• Inspect waste generation and disposal processes to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to Corporate Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs.
• Support CDM auditing and the calibration of monitoring equipment to ensure data quality and assurance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Environmental Management, Meteorology, Environmental Conservation, Natural Resource Management, or an equivalent field.
• Flexibility and willingness to serve in any of the company's business areas across Kenya.
