Woodcreek School is a British IGCSE system institution situated on an 11-acre campus along Kamiti Road, adjacent to Tatu City in Kiambu County. We are seeking an experienced and committed English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a digitally literate, life-long learner who enjoys building positive relationships with students and is passionate about child safeguarding. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality education within the British National Curriculum framework while contributing to the school's holistic development through pastoral care and extra-curricular programs.
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction following the British National Curriculum.
Potentially teach Humanities subjects as part of the arts curriculum.
Participate fully in the school’s pastoral care system, supporting the emotional and social well-being of students.
Contribute to the development of the school’s futuristic educational programs.
Engage in and lead extra-curricular activities and programs.
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Integrate digital literacy and modern pedagogical tools into the classroom.
Requirements
Qualified teacher with a minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in the British National Curriculum.
Must be currently teaching in a Cambridge Curriculum International School.
Must be a TSC (Teachers Service Commission) Certified Teacher.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Bachelor of Education in Arts + P1).
Ability to teach Humanities subjects alongside English.
Demonstrated digital literacy and a commitment to life-long learning.
Strong commitment to child safeguarding and student welfare.
Excellent team player with a willingness to contribute to school development.
