Endowment Officer Grade 11

The Endowment Officer, under the guidance of the Director, shall be responsible for establishing and managing the university's endowment structures and operations. This role involves policy development, resource mobilization, and financial management to ensure the long-term sustainability of the university's funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Office Establishment: Establish the Endowment Office structures, including systems, processes, and operational frameworks.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement endowment-related policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in alignment with University statutes and governance structures.
• Fundraising & Strategy: Provide financial and technical support in the formulation and execution of endowment fundraising and resource mobilization strategies.
• Financial Management: Coordinate endowment financial planning, budgeting, investment tracking, and reporting.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit requirements, and risk management standards applicable to endowment funds.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records of endowment contributions, investments, and fund performance.
• Reporting: Prepare periodic performance, compliance, and impact reports for University Management and the Board.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of working experience in fundraising, development work, partnerships, or resource mobilization.
• Strong analytical, financial reporting, and policy implementation skills.
