About the Role\nAt TakaTaka Solutions, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Finance Team. The role is responsible for monitoring customer accounts, assessing creditworthiness, managing outstanding debts, and ensuring timely collection of receivables. You will play a key role in supporting healthy cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and building strong customer relationships in line with company credit policies.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n- Evaluate customer credit applications and recommend credit limits as per company policy.\n- Monitor and review customer accounts to identify potential payment challenges or credit risks.\n- Maintain accurate and updated customer credit files and compliance documentation.\n\n\n- Work closely with the Debt Collection Team to pursue overdue accounts.\n- Ensure accurate allocation of customer payments against invoices.\n- Communicate proactively with clients regarding outstanding balances, payment terms, and credit issues.\n- Negotiate payment plans or settlements and escalate complex cases to the accountant – Receivables.\n\n\n- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.\n- Prepare and review debtor aging reports; flag long-outstanding accounts for action.\n- Generate weekly and monthly collection reports, highlighting trends and risks.\n- Support internal and external audit processes with required documents.\n\n\n- Develop and implement improved credit control processes and strategies.\n- Analyze debtor performance and recommend account suspensions or recovery actions.\n- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve client disputes quickly.\n- Support automation of credit dashboards and monitoring tools.\n- Contribute to policy reviews on credit terms and customer classifications.\n- Train and mentor Debt Collection Officers.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n- : KCSE Mean Grade B and above.\n- : Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business Management, or Business Administration.\n- : CPA II or equivalent qualification (ACCA, CIMA) is an added advantage.\n- : Minimum 3 years of experience in credit control, receivables, or debt recovery in a fast-paced environment.\n- : Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.\n\n### Skills & Competencies\n- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.\n- Excellent communication and client relationship management.\n- High accuracy and attention to detail.\n- Good understanding of credit risk, reconciliations, and reporting.\n- Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems.\n- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\n- High professional integrity and confidentiality.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified?
