City Eye Hospital is a social venture that provides quality and affordable eye care to people living in East Africa. Our primary mandate is to provide affordable and accessible eye care on both fronts of location and price. We are seeking a Commercial Lead for Growth & Partnerships to drive our expansion and patient acquisition strategies.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the entire patient acquisition pipeline, from lead generation to procedure completion. You will lead the development of insurance and corporate accounts, manage referral networks, and direct outreach strategies to ensure sustained growth in patient volumes.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Management: Oversee the patient acquisition pipeline from lead generation to visit and procedure.
Account Development: Grow and develop insurance and corporate accounts.
Referral Networks: Manage and expand referral networks across clinics, optometrists, and general practitioners (GPs).
Strategy and Direction: Develop outreach strategies and provide direction to the field team.
CRM and Reporting: Implement CRM systems, manage pipeline reporting, and focus on conversion improvement.
Collaboration: Lead weekly growth rhythms with cross-functional accountability to ensure targets are met.
Success Metrics
Sustained month-on-month growth in new patient volumes.
Measurable increases in revenue from insurance and corporate segments.
Improved conversion rates at every stage of the patient journey.
Establishment of a functioning, data-driven pipeline for real-time leadership tracking.
Qualifications and Experience
7 to 12 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial roles.
Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
Proven track record of building or scaling revenue pipelines.
Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management capability.
Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels simultaneously.
High degree of ownership, accountability, and comfort with performance-linked KPIs.
A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.
