Client Relationship Officers are at the heart of the Bidhaa Sasa business model, delivering products and services to rural clients. This role is a unique blend of a sales agent and a loan officer. You will be responsible for identifying target audiences, running mobilization meetings, following up on leads, and managing the end-to-end sales process, including product delivery and contract signing. This is an entry-level position within a rapidly growing startup, requiring high adaptability and a strong sense of ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Client Mobilization: Identify and develop groups of clients and group leaders in rural areas within your assigned hub territory.
Sales Process Management: Manage the sales lifecycle from start to finish, including contract signing, customer education, data entry, and reporting.
Repayment Oversight: Work with Group Leaders to ensure good repayment behavior and manage late-paying customers.
Mentorship and Coaching: Train group leaders in sales and group management skills to foster long-term relationships.
Business Growth: Identify new target audiences and analyze opportunities to expand the sales network.
After-Sales Service: Handle product warranty cases and provide ongoing support to clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Higher Education Diploma or BSc in a relevant field.
Experience: This is an entry-level role with limited prior experience required; intensive on-the-job training is provided.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience with MFIs, co-operatives, NGOs, or teaching in rural settings is an added advantage. Sales experience is a plus.
Communication: Strong command of English and Swahili; proficiency in local languages is a major advantage.
Availability: Willingness to live and work in the designated rural branch areas (Othaya, Kangari, or Kapsabet).
