Role Overview
Weston Hotel, a 4-star luxury business hotel located along Langata Road in Nairobi, is seeking a highly experienced Chief Steward to lead its stewarding department. This role is designed for a professional with at least 10 years of experience who possesses strong leadership capabilities and a passion for maintaining premium hospitality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence and an exceptional guest experience through meticulous management of kitchen sanitation and service support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the stewarding team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all food and beverage outlets.
Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, chinaware, glassware, and silverware.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations within high-standard hospitality environments.
Drive a culture of service excellence and operational leadership within the department.
Coordinate with other hotel departments to support seamless guest service delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in stewarding or kitchen management.
Leadership: Strong leadership capability with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
