Job Description
The National Youth Service (NYS) is seeking to recruit six (6) Cadet Officers in the position of Physiotherapist. The National Youth Service is a premier agency through which the Kenyan government executes youth empowerment and development. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing professional physiotherapeutic services and must be prepared to integrate medical expertise with the discipline of a paramilitary environment. All successful candidates must undergo a mandatory nine-month paramilitary training program at the NYS Training College.
General Requirements:
Be a Kenyan citizen.
For Cadets: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum KCSE grade of C+ (plus) OR a Diploma with a minimum KCSE grade C- (Minus).
Be in possession of a valid Kenyan National Identity Card (ID) and KRA PIN Certificate.
Be between 18 – 28 years of age.
Have no criminal record.
Candidates must be medically fit.
Successful candidates MUST undergo NYS Paramilitary training for nine (9) months at NYS Training College.
Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.
Meet the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
Be in possession of a Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
Certificate of registration from the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
Valid professional Practice License from the Physiotherapy Council.
