The Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering business intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions. This role ensures accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making across the organization by translating business requirements into actionable insights using BI tools, dashboards, and data models.
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
- Develop, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, or Tableau.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs.
- Work closely with the Data Warehousing and Big Data teams to ensure data availability and reliability.
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and ETL processes to improve reporting efficiency.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or Reporting roles.
- Strong knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Good understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.
- Possess an analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
Must Have Technical/Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
- Professional certifications in BI or analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Certified Data Analyst, Qlik, or Tableau) are an advantage.
