Located on the Kenyan side of Lake Victoria, the company has distribution capacity throughout Kenya and is rapidly expanding its farm operations, fish processing, and sales & marketing capabilities. Role Overview
This role involves receiving and verifying stock, updating inventory records, assisting with order fulfillment, and ensuring smooth daily operations to support the branch's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management: Receive incoming stock deliveries, verify quantities, and ensure accurate documentation. Collaborate with the Regional Supervisor to conduct thorough inspections of received goods for quality and compliance.
Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of stock movements and report significant variances to the Regional Supervisor.
Branch Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and order of the branch are maintained at a top-notch level. Regularly clean and arrange the branch area, including rotogals, drums, crates, displays, and weighing scales to create a customer-friendly environment.
Order Fulfillment: Weigh fish for client orders accurately upon request from the Branch Captain and provide efficient service to the Sales Team.
Payment Verification: Verify payments for the fish measured against orders placed by the sales team and record these on a separate sheet.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on inventory levels and operational issues. Communicate relevant information to the Regional Supervisor and collaborate on solutions.
Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and maintain transparent communication with the sales team to ensure seamless operations.
Compliance: Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations and ensure all activities follow company policies.
Other Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager or Regional Supervisor to support branch functions.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; however, a BA/BSc/HND is preferred. A certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in sales, marketing, or operations roles.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory management tools.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
