Role Purpose
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing organizational sales by developing and executing a comprehensive business plan that covers sales targets, revenue growth, and marketing expense controls. This role involves leading a high-performing sales team and expanding our market footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Management: Develop and execute a business plan covering sales, revenue, and marketing expense controls. Set individual sales targets and ensure overall goals are met.
Team Leadership & Development: Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and motivation. Assist in recruiting and monitoring the performance of sales representatives.
Market Expansion: Develop new avenues for marketing and lead generation. Equip the sales team with product knowledge and sales techniques.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with prospective consumers and industry partners to strengthen market presence.
Customer Experience: Expand product reach and repeat business through exceptional relationship building and customer service. Collaborate with the team to coordinate project implementation and proactively resolve customer issues.
Market Intelligence: Provide regular feedback to management regarding market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities for value delivery.
Reporting: Prepare strategic reports on all sales activities, including prospecting, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
Requirements
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field from a reputable institution.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
Management: At least 2 years of experience managing and directing a sales team is mandatory.
Communication: Exceptional spoken and written English communication skills with a high standard of professionalism.
Attributes: Must be a fast learner, highly self-motivated, and capable of producing high-impact work without supervision. Adaptability, self-confidence, and creativity are essential.
