The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton (UEAB) is an internationally acclaimed institution seeking a qualified Accountant to join the UEAB Industries team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial health and records, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly, budgets are prepared, and the organization remains compliant with accounting standards and institutional policies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for UEAB Industries.
Prepare financial reports, budgets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements.
Support audits and internal control processes.
Oversee receivables, payables, and general ledger functions.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, Accounting Option, or equivalent qualification.
At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a medium-sized enterprise.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
CPA(K) Part II or above will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
