Minet Kenya is seeking a professional Account Executive – Retention to manage and retain the Retail & SME portfolio by delivering high-quality, seamless service. The primary objective is to drive organic growth across all retail insurance lines including Motor, Medical, Life, Pensions, SME, General Insurance, and Home Insurance by leveraging digital solutions and established distribution channels in accordance with the divisional strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client Service: Provide the highest standard of service, addressing all client queries promptly and professionally.
Engagement: Maintain regular interaction with clients to build a deep understanding of their business needs.
Renewals: Initiate engagement for policy renewals at least 60 days before the renewal date.
Retention Targets: Achieve and maintain an aggregate retention rate of at least 95% within the SME book.
Growth: Drive organic growth of existing business by at least 40%.
Digital Adoption: Ensure that 75% of renewals are processed through digital platforms to improve the customer journey.
Education: Conduct member education sessions for clients during policy renewals.
Compliance: Ensure all retention business meets KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements and complies with cash-and-carry and credit authorization guidelines.
Partnerships: Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities within the Retail & SME division.
Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships with insurers.
Pipeline Management: Submit weekly retention reports and sales pipeline updates to the Head of Retention.
Operational Support: Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other functional areas to manage workloads.
Key Result Areas
Maintenance of at least 95% aggregate retention for Retail & SME business.
Generation of 40% new business production from the existing client base.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A business-related degree from a recognized university.
Professional Certification: Diploma in Insurance (AIIK or ACII).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in retention and business development. Prior experience within an insurance brokerage firm handling an SME book is highly advantageous.
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of general insurance products and proficiency in IT solutions and systems applications.
