Role Purpose
The Account Executive will handle allocated clients' claims and manage the insurance claim process for all general insurance claims in motor, property, liability, and work injury claims at both retail and corporate lines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Claims Advisory and Advocacy
Reviewing and analyzing client claims, applications, and adjustments and determining whether a client is covered under their insurance policy.
Ensuring that the claim has been properly adjudicated and processed within reasonable timelines.
Researching and drafting appropriate professional and technical responses to claims issues.
Providing clients with competent insurance policy and claims expert opinions based on knowledge and analysis of facts.
Meeting clients and concerned stakeholders for complaint and dispute resolution.
Client Account and Claims Relationships
Managing claims for assigned client accounts with due diligence and integrity.
Processing claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt payments for all valid claims in accordance with policy terms.
Maintaining effective communication with policy holders to ensure transparency throughout the claims process.
Ensuring that all claims are resolved and finalized within reasonable timeframes, adhering to internal and regulatory standards.
Maintaining Claims Records, Data and Reporting
Properly handling client information and storage of claims documents, ensuring claim files are updated.
Accurately capturing claims data in the Core Claims Systems.
Preparing monthly reports for clients and management, highlighting claims trends.
Complaints & Issues Handling
Handling customer complaints regarding claims from the portfolio of accounts and by escalation from direct reports.
Meeting clients and stakeholders on the ground for dispute resolution.

Claims life cycle lead time: 25 - 30 days for simple claims and 90 - 180 days for complex claims.
Achievement of a 115% claims closure rate annually.
Maintaining a Customer Satisfaction Index of 85% and a Net Promoter Score of 60%.

Requirements and Skills
At least 3 years of experience in a busy general insurance claims environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Legal Studies-related discipline from a recognized university.
Professional Diploma in ACII or AIIK.
Strong analytical and risk management capability.
Excellent computer skills.
Creative and strategic thinking.
Good organizational skills, agile, resourceful, and collaborative.
